Join us Live from the Library this Winter Break for special guests and fun performances for children (ages 5-12) and their families.

The kids are home from school, family is in town to visit and you need something fun for the whole family to do (or maybe just a quiet place to escape). Look no further than the Library for great ideas during your winter break! Make plans to read, play, create, and have fun with us at the library this holiday season.

Get lost in a world of reading and adventure this March 3-9 during Jacksonville's annual Celebrate Reading Week! Jacksonville Public Library and our partners at Kids Hope Alliance, Jacksonville Public Education Fund, Early Learning Coalition Duval, Read USA, Duval County Public Schools, Read Jax, and WJCT have put together a fantastic series of programs and events at libraries and locations across Jacksonville! There will be book giveaways, a chance to learn more about Beanstack and Mayor Deegan's River City Readers challenge, and more!

Are you interested in performing at Jacksonville Public Library? We are always looking for engaging and entertaining performers! ve from the Library performances are an hour in length, have an audience of 30 to 50 participants, and target children ages five through twelve. During school breaks (summer, winter, and spring), we may schedule multiple performances at any of our 21 branches across Jacksonville, FL.

Experience rhythm in a whole new way with Just Add Rhythm - appearing Live From the Library in December and January! We'll practice our communication, sharing, and listening skills and get hands-on with different drums, shakers and Boomwhackers. Everyone gets a turn in this interactive, high-energy sonic adventure for children (ages 5-12)! Registration is limited and may fill up fast!

Are you looking for ways to keep the kids entertained during Spring Break? We've got live animals, scientists, storytelling puppets and other special guests performing "Live from the Library" March 13 - 17 in seven locations all across Jacksonville! The best part? It's all FREE to library cardholders!
