Call for Performers: Live from the Library

#Live from the Library

Is there anything more magical than getting lost in a good book? Well, maybe an actual magician! Live from the Library brings entertaining and educational performers – including musicians, animal handlers, dancers, and yes, even magicians! – to showcase their talents for children ages 5 to 12 and their families.

Are you an engaging and entertaining performer?

Jacksonville Public Library sometimes hires professional performers and presenters with specialized or unique expertise for programs like our popular Live from the Library. As stated in the Library Programs for the Public Policy, selection decisions on program topics and presenters will be based in part or entirely on the specifications listed in the qualifying criteria section of the Library Programs for the Public Policy.

Live from the Library performances are an hour in length, have an audience of 30 to 50 participants, and target children ages five through twelve. During school breaks (summer, winter, and spring), we may schedule multiple performances at any of our 21 branches across Jacksonville, FL.

Note: We are currently seeking performers for Summer 2024.

I acknowledge that submission of a Live from the Library Call for Performers form does not guarantee hiring. In order to be contracted with the Jacksonville Public Library, I must register as a Supplier/Vendor through the City of Jacksonville’s Online Procurement System, 1Cloud. I have carefully reviewed the Library Programs for the Public Policy to ensure my program meets the Library's qualifications.
