• Monday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Tuesday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Art Walk, first Wednesday of the month: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
• Thursday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Friday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed

Parking Garage

• Entrance is located at 33 W Duval Street
• The garage does not accept cash payment, credit card (credit or debit) is required.
• Disabled parking available:  Floors 1, 3, 4, 5. Elevators are available:  Floors 3 thru 6.

If you're visiting Monday - Friday:

• Parking in the garage is free for one hour as long as ticket is validated in the Library.
• Non-validated parking is $3.00 for the first hour, each additional hour is $2.00/hr.
• Maximum charge for visitors without validation is $10.00 or $7.00 with validation

On Saturdays:

• Parking in the garage is free as long as the ticket is validated in the Library.
• Parking is $3.00 for all day if ticket is not validated.

Note: During special events, the parking garage charges a special event rate and there is no validation for library visitors.

Street Parking (metered):

• Street Parking fees are enforced weekdays from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• Street Parking is FREE on the weekends and after 6 p.m.
• Meters range in hourly price and start at $2.

Public Art Tours of the Main Library

Augusta Savage, Al Held, Kathryn Freeman, Lee Adams, Jerry Uelsmann. Did you know that works by these artists and many more are on permanent display at the Main Library? (Re)discover these remarkable paintings, sculptures, and photographs with a trained volunteer as your guide. 

We offer small group tours showcasing the beautiful public art and architecture on the first Wednesday and one Saturday a month!

Exhibition Space for Artist(s):

In addition to the permanent works on display, we also have exhibits that rotate regularly in our galleries on the first, second, and third floors, featuring works by local students and professional artists.

Are you a solo artist interested in displaying their work at the Library? We have 31 feet of hanging rail for displaying art in the Atrium on the 2nd Floor. Please see the Policies page for the Library's Exhibit Policy and the associated Request to Exhibit form for more information.
