The Library's biggest celebration of authors, books, and writing is back! Jax Book Fest returns September 20-21 to the Main Library in downtown Jacksonville with three #1 New York Times bestselling authors, dozens of local authors, and activities for readers of all ages.

Gabrielle ZevinThe "Main Event" for adults is a Lit Chat Interview with Gabrielle Zevin, a #1 New York Times bestselling novelist whose books have been translated into forty languages! Her tenth novel, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, was a New York Times bestseller, a Sunday Times bestseller, and a selection of the Tonight Show’s Fallon Book Club. Tomorrow was Amazon.com’s #1 Book of the Year, Time Magazine’s #1 Book of the Year, a New York Times Notable Book, and the winner of both the Goodreads Choice Award for Fiction and the Book of the Month Club’s Book of the Year. Following a twenty-five-bidder auction, the feature film rights to Tomorrow were acquired by Temple Hill and Paramount Studios.

Don't miss the Lit Chat Interview with Gabrielle Zevin on Saturday, September 21 from 2 - 3 p.m. The program will include a 40-minute conversation with interviewer, Nikesha Elise Williams, followed by a 20-minute audience Q&A. Seating for the program will begin at 1 p.m. An overflow room will be available for attendees over the 380-seat limit.

Our Jax Book Fest featured authors will sign books for one hour after their respective Lit Chat programs. You may bring a copy from home, purchased from your favorite bookstore. Books will also be available to purchase on-site from Femme Fire Books.

More About Gabrielle Zevin

Her thoughtful, funny events bring audiences into her writing process as she shares her techniques for writing unforgettable characters, how games are integrally linked to story, and the irreplaceable relationships forged in local literary communities. Zevin’s novel The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry also spent many months on the New York Times Best Seller List. A.J. Fikry was honored with the Southern California Independent Booksellers Award for Fiction, the Japan Booksellers’ Prize, among other honors. A.J. Fikry is now a feature film with a screenplay by Zevin.

She has also written children’s books, including the award-winning Elsewhere. Zevin is a graduate of Harvard University. She lives in Los Angeles.

The event is free and open to all with something for readers of all ages.
