"My Editor's Out to Get Me" and Other Myths About the Revision Process
The writer/editor relationship can be a bountifully productive, creative collaboration. It can also leave both parties frustrated with each other and the resulting manuscript.
Whether you're an aspiring author reaching out to literary agents, who will likely request a revision pass before sending your manuscript out on submission; an indie writer wondering how best to use your time and money to hire a freelance editor; or a writer doing their best with a round of self-revision, there's something in this hour-long, virtual workshop for you.
Live on Zoom
Enrich your editing life and expand your publishing knowhow! Novelist and editor Jessica Hatch joins us live on Monday, December 16, at 6:30 p.m. to share personal experiences and professional information from both sides of the proverbial table!
Jessica Hatch is a novelist and editor based in Florida. Her first two romantic comedies were published by Hachette Book Group's Bookouture imprint in 2022 and 2023, and she's hard at work on a new title, tentatively scheduled for indie publication in spring 2025. Before she became a published novelist, Jessica interned and worked for New York publishing institutions Writers House and St. Martin's Press; for over a decade, she has served as freelance editor for award-winning, bestselling authors on the six habitable continents.
